Vladimir Tulupov, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism of VSU, took part in the round table “Russia and Africa: Cooperation in the Field of Media”. The meeting was held on 6 June in Moscow at the Russia Today international multimedia press centre. The languages of the meeting were Russian and French (with simultaneous translation).
Vladimir Tulupov spoke on “Fakes in the Era of Post-Truth and Information Wars”. Among other in-person participants were Viktoria Budanova, Head of African Affairs at Sputnik International News Agency and Radio, and Svyatoslav Shchegolev, Head of African Content Production at RT.
Messaoud Alghem, Deputy Director General of EPTV, Algeria’s state television company, Sylvie Elenge-Nyembo, Director General of the National Radio and Television of Congo (RTNC), Mohamed Abdou Mhadjou, Director General of the Comoros (ORTC), Mohamed Fall Oumeir Beye, Director General of the Mauritanian News Agency, and Chaouki Aloui (Tunisia), lecturer at the Press and Information Sciences Institute of Manouba University (UMA) took part in the round table discussion remotely.
