On 13 June, the results of the 2023 National Subject Aggregate Ranking were announced. The study covered all educational programmes offered by Russian universities. 27 subject areas were evaluated according to which VSU offers its training programmes. Two of them received the highest points and entered the premier league.
The final assessment of educational programmes took into account the following results: professional and public accreditation, assessment of the quality of education, Hirsch index, Global aggregate subject (Russian universities), RAEX rankings, “First Mission” ranking, “National Recognition” ranking, and SuperJob. The results in subject areas taught at VSU were as follows:
- Premier league: Chemistry, Geosciences
- 1st league: Mathematics and Mechanics, Computer and Information Sciences, Biological Sciences, Informatics and Computer Facilities, Economics and Management, Jurisprudence, Mass Media and Library Science, Linguistics and Literary Studies.
- 2st league: Physics and Astronomy, Information Security, Electronics, Radioengineering and Communication Systems, Applied Geology, Mining, Oil and Gas Engineering, and Geodesy, Psychological Sciences, Sociology and Social Development, Political Sciences and Regional Studies, Tourism and Service, History and Archaeology, Philosophy, Ethics, and Religion Studies, Culture Studies and Sociocultural Projects.
- 3st league: Photonics, Engineering, and Optical and Biotechnical Systems and Technologies, Nuclear Energy and Nuclear Technologies, Fundamental Medicine, Pharmacy, Education and Pedagogical Sciences, Art Studies.
The National Subject Aggregate Ranking was prepared by the Guild of Experts in Professional Education and the National Fund for Support of Innovations. It covers 55 major groups of fields of study corresponding to the whole spectrum of education programmes.
