VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky took part in the scientific and educational Armenian-Russian forum “Integration of science, education, and production: the driver of economic modernisation”. The meeting was held in Yerevan.
The forum was opened at the plenary session by President of the Union of Rectors of Armenia and Rector of Yerevan State University Ogannes Ogannisyan, Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia Zhanna Andreasyan, Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Sergey Kravtsov, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Konstantin Mogilevsky, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cultural Cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoy, President of the Russian Union of Rectors and Rector of Moscow State University Viktor Sadovnichy, and others.
More than 200 specialists, including representatives of universities, scientific organisations, ministries, specialised departments, and businesses of Russia and Armenia, took part in the forum. This is the first bilateral event with the participation of leading universities and representatives of scientific institutions of Russia and Armenia which was aimed at the development and strengthening of scientific and educational links between the universities of the two countries.
On the second day of the forum, Dmitry Yendovitsky together with the director of the Engineering Physics Institute of the Russian-Armenian University, Professor Ayk Sarkisyan, moderated the session “Education as a factor in sustainable cooperation between Russia and Armenia”. The participants of the session discussed successful practice of Russian and Armenian universities and prospects of network cooperation between universities of both countries regarding the development and strengthening of collaboration between Russian and Armenian universities.
