On 28 November, VSU held a long-awaited concert by lecturers and students from the Faculty of Economics dedicated to the Day of Higher Education Lecturers.
Oleg Grishaev, vice-rector for Student Affairs and Social Development, addressed the audience with words of welcome:
“We are here today to attend a very important concert organised jointly by lecturers and students of our university. It is a pilot project that will set the trend for other faculties. I am very grateful to our talented students who keep amusing us with their achievements and new ideas. Our lecturers help and support them”.
The concert was a huge success. The audience enjoyed themselves greatly. Each performance was a duet of youth and experience, and all the performers felt the importance of their contribution.
Lecturers and students together worked on the choreography of dancing performances. Each dance was carefully planned and represented a certain emotional story or an idea. Students played the roles of teachers, and teachers could once more feel as if they were students. There was also a choir of lecturers and students singing a student song.
“Such events bring lecturers and students closer together. They help to develop the creative potential in young people and strengthen the community spirit at the university. The concert is a symbol of mutual understanding and support. It demonstrated that knowledge and creativity are two powers that can unite people and make a real miracle. We believe that such concerts will become a tradition of our faculty”, said Larisa Korobeinikova, Vice-Rector for Economics and Contract Services.
