On 8 December, an annual regional scientific and practical conference “Current issues in drug commerce” was held in the conference hall of the main building of VSU. The conference was dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Faculty of Pharmaceutics. During the conference pharmacists could exchange their opinions and experience.
This year, the discussion focused on the following issues important for the pharmaceutical industry: main regulations and approaches to the registering of herbal medicines in the Eurasian Economic Union; novel legislation regulating the activities of the participants of the pharmaceutical market; changes in the regulations concerning the manufacturing of medicine by pharmacies; tools for effective resolution of conflicts in pharmaceutical organisations; distribution of drugs for veterinary use; distribution of controlled substances for medical use; interchangeability of dietary supplements and medicine; and the role of digital tools in the promotion of medicine and competition in the pharmaceutical market.
The speakers were Ivan Kolchenko, Head of the Regulatory and Research Department of OOO Bionorica, Larisa Mikhina, deputy director for pharmaceutical activities at the company Zdorovy Gorod, Elena Popova, Head of the test laboratory at Voronezh Centre for the Certification and Quality Control of Medical Substances, Maria Salomatina, Associate Professor at the Department of General Linguistics and Stylistics of the Faculty of Philology of VSU, Irina Zanina, Head of the Department of Management and Economics of Pharmacy of the Faculty of Pharmacy of VSU, Anna Buzlama, Head of the Department of Management and Economics of Pharmacy of the Faculty of Pharmacy of VSU, Anastasia Maleva, lecturer at the Department of Management and Economics of Pharmacy of the Faculty of Pharmacy of VSU, and Anastasia Rodivilova, senior medical representative at OOO Olainfarm Rus. Among the participants of the conference there were also local experts, practitioners, academic staff, undergraduate and postgraduate students from the Faculty of Pharmaceutics of VSU.
