The results of the competition of advanced engineering schools (AES) that will provide promising qualified engineering specialists for the Russian economy have been announced. Voronezh State University is among the 50 universities that are to open Advanced Engineering Schools in electronics and information and communication technologies.

“The Advanced Engineering School is to become an important part of the radioelectronics cluster of the Voronezh Region, which was created on the initiative of the Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and the Governor of the Voronezh Region Alexander Gusev. It will provide promising qualified engineering specialists for the radioelectronics industry and new opportunities for conducting research and creating innovative technologies. It will also allow the Voronezh Region to regain its status as the centre of the electronics industry in Russia.

VSU has adequate research facilities and qualified academic staff to ensure the effectiveness of the AES. The university is to train qualified engineers who will be able to solve the most urgent engineering problems. The training will be performed in cooperation with high tech companies”, said VSU Rector Dmitry Endovitsky.

The partners of the university are AO NIIET, AO Corporation NPO RIF, FGUP NIIR, AO Concern Sozvezdie, AO VZPP-S, AO MGK Intekhros, AO VNII Vega, and AO Sitronics. The team presenting the project of the school included Pavel Kutsko, General Director of AO NIIET, and Mikhail Artemov, chief designer at AO Concern Sozvezdie, those companies that contributed greatly to the implementation of the project.

About the project:
