On January 24, the Department of English Language for Sciences Faculties together with the Voronezh Association of English Language Teachers held the 3rd International Research and Methodology Conference “Peculiarities of Foreign Language Teaching at Non-linguistic Training Programmes”.
Plenary reports were delivered by scientists from Voronezh State University, Linguistics University of Nizhny Novgorod, and COSHCO Foreign Language Centre (Moscow). The panels included reports of lecturers from Voronezh higher educational institutions, as well as their colleagues from St. Petersburg, Saratov, Nizhny Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Kazan (Russia), Karaganda and Shymkent (Kazakhstan), Minsk, Grodno, Pinsk, Mozyr, and Mogilev (Republic of Belarus).
They exchanged opinions on the peculiarities of the organisation of the educational process at non-linguistic training programmes, technologies of teaching types of speech activity and language aspects, the use of IT and audio/video technologies in teaching foreign language to non-philologists, as well as the use of the potential of foreign language in the training of students of non-linguistic programmes.
