Between 2 and 3 February, the finals of the XIX PR award by RuPoR took place in Voronezh which included open presentations of the short-listed participants and the award ceremony. Based on the results of expert evaluation in two stages of the award (remote and in-person), 47 projects from Moscow, Voronezh, Lipetsk, Belgorod, Orel, Tver, and Yaroslavl regions became laureates.

“The quality of all projects nominated for the RuPoR Award this year has significantly increased. The main feature of each project was that their authors specified target audiences, divided them into sub-audiences, and for each of the sub-audiences they selected popular communication channels and tools based on the project strategy. It should also be mentioned that the number of applications grew by 40% as compared to the previous year,” said Gennady Shatalov, Chairman of the Board of the Foundation for the Development of Public Relations of Region PR, President of the RuPoR Award, Member of the Jury of the National Silver Archer Award.

The No Experience podcast dedicated to the career path and created by students from the Faculty of Journalism Anna Vereshchagina, Diana Kirilyuk, and Anastasia Orekhova, won in the “Student Project” nomination. The art evening “Time to open your eyes” of the PULSEPRIME media project was also short-listed for this nomination. Students from the Faculty of Journalism participated in this project as well.

“Of course, taking part in the competition was stressful. Preparing an application, defending your project in front of the board of experts, and hearing the results at the finals – there were lots of things to worry about, since the other projects were also very good. But the committee decided our podcast deserved first place, which is really exciting! This is a very important achievement for us as the authors of the podcast and for the entire university. We truly believe that the No Experience podcast will help students of VSU build a successful career! There is a lot of work ahead: recording episodes with new guests. If you want to be the first to know about them, join the VSU Career Development Centre’s page on VK.com,” said Anastasia Orekhova.

The RuPoR Award in the field of development of public relations (previously known as the Central Black Earth RuPoR award in the field of development of public relations) is part of the system of Russian professional PR awards. It was established in 2005 on the initiative of Gennady Shatalov. The RuPoR Award is awarded annually as a result of an open competition to state and public figures, teams, and specialists in the field of development of public relations carrying out their professional activity in the Central Federal District.
