The book contains a description of the unique collection of Voronezh folk costume stored in the Ethnographic Museum of Voronezh State University. More than 700 exhibits presented at the museum (folk costumes, household items, folk toys) were collected during folklore expeditions of students and lecturers of the VSU Faculty of Philology conducted in the villages of the Voronezh Region from the 1990s to the present time.

Among the illustrations are photographs from regional local history museums, rural corners and peasant rooms, as well as photos of folklore music group members taken during folklore festivals.

The book is intended for folklore and ethnography specialists, teachers and students of philological, historical, and ethnomusicological faculties, cultural workers, leaders of folk music groups, students and teachers of children’s art schools, and admirers of Russian folklore, ethnography, and folk arts and crafts.
