Regional swimming competitions named “Voronezh, the capital of the Black Earth Region” were held in the VSU swimming pool in the form of a supersprint. More than 16 teams from the Voronezh, Tula, and Lipetsk Regions took part in them. At the opening parade, the two record holders of the 2023 supersprint raised the Russian flag to the Russian anthem.
The main feature of competitions held in the VSU swimming pool is the recording of exact race times using an electronic timing system, the only one in Voronezh. The results of the contests had a time difference of 0.01 seconds and even the same results: two winners took the podium for third place. The multidisciplinary winners were awarded with special medals and valuable prizes (scooters and badminton sets). A total of 120 original 3D medals were awarded.
97 medals were awarded at the competition in the individual distance championship and 24 medals were awarded were awarded to the multidisciplinary winners. In a close contest, the students of the VSU Swimming School won 32 medals in the individual championship, taking first place in the overall competition. And they also won 10 medals out of 24 in the multidisciplinary events.
During the tournament, 20 new competition records were registered, nine of which were set by students of the VSU Swimming School.
