According to the RankPro ranking, Voronezh State University is among the top 1,000 world universities. It takes 600th position having risen by 31st positions as compared to the previous year.
RankPro is a world ranking of universities based on views and estimates of experts of the highest level, professors from various universities. The ranking is published jointly with the International Council of Scientists (ICS) as part of the international programme “Global World Communicator (GWC). Education and Science”. The RankPro ranking annually evaluates over fifteen hundred universities.
The Worldwide Professional University Rankings, RankPro, evaluates universities by three aspects:
- Academic rankings or academic possibilities provided by a university. It considers the number of students and academic staff members of the university, the range of educational programmes, research, awards and management of the university, publication activity, etc.
- Ranking by BC-Index, i.e. availability and completeness of information provided on the website of the university. It considers general information about the university (its description), academic information, and communication opportunities.
- Public rankings, which are defined by the positions of a university in national, international rankings and through a survey of members of International Council of Scientists.
Positions of the world's leading universities are determined by sum of the rankings received in each of the three RankPro components, and normalised to 100. In addition, to increase visibility, within each component of the ranking RankPro classifies universities into two classes “a” and “b” and subclasses “++” and “+”, which reflects the level of the university for each component.
