On 4 April, Chinese exchange students currently studying at the International Education Institute of VSU visited the opening ceremony of the exhibition “Four classical Chinese novels in philately” organised by the Voronezh Branch of the Union of Philatelists of Russia. The exhibition was dedicated to the Years of Culture in Russia and China, which are celebrated in 2024–2025, and was held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Voronezh Region. The guests from China showed a lot of interest in the presented collection.
“Four classical novels are the literary backbone of Chinese culture. They contain the history, wars, magic, and lives of ordinary people. These books are must-reads for all Chinese schoolchildren. For the Chinese, these works are as important as “War and Peace” or “Eugene Onegin” for the Russians. But I have never known that such beautiful collections of post stamps based on these works are produced in China,” said Yuhui Ma, a Chinese exchange student.
