On 6 April, a training in entrepreneurial competencies was held in the main building of Voronezh State University. The event was organised jointly with the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology within the framework of the federal project “Platform of University Technological Entrepreneurship”. This was the second training held by experts and practitioners from the Startup Educational Centre.
“The main goal of the training is to involve as many children as possible in entrepreneurship in the future, no matter if it is classical or technological entrepreneurship. We would like the participants to develop as entrepreneurs even if they are planning to build their careers in companies. Today, internal entrepreneurs are very valuable employees. They do not just while away their time at work, they take the lead and the responsibility for decisions,” said coach Maria Brant. “You should start small, you should try your hand at different projects and development programmes available at the university. You should also try to get involved in municipal projects. The main thing is to get started”.
Over 140 participants spent this day obtaining knowledge in the field of tech entrepreneurship, organising the work of their teams, creating a plan how to launch “smart business”, identifying their competencies and abilities, studying the needs of their clients, and developing a value proposition.
“The truth is, I am more into humanities, so creating a technological startup is a great challenge for me. During the training, I understood that I’d already had some knowledge and was advised on how to act in the future if I take a chance and start my own business. I would say it was a very useful experience,” said Ekaterina Salasina, a participant of the training.
The next training will take place in the main educational building of VSU on 13 April in the canteen at 1 Universitetskaya pl. It starts at 10:00 a.m. To take part, you need to register in advance on the website of the project “Training of entrepreneurial competencies”.
