On 6 April, a traditional Career Day was held at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics. Twenty two IT companies, including Tinkoff, VK, SBER, Surf, Neoflex, and RedCollar, came to the university to tell about themselves, communicate with students, and offer them the jobs of their dream.

Among the guests of the event were not only students from the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics, but also from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, the Faculty of Computer Sciences of Voronezh State University, the Faculty of Information Technology and Computer Security of Voronezh State Technical University, as well as students of technical specialities from other universities in Voronezh. The event was visited by about 500 students.

Career Day at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics is a unique opportunity for students to develop themselves in the field of IT within a company. Here, they can find a job or an internship or a place for summer training or practical training. While for companies, it is a chance to look for committed future employees.

After the general presentation, which took place in the assembly hall of the main building of VSU, each company was provided with a room where they could interview or test students. The participants of Career Day received a special checklist with vacancies and technologies of the companies.

During Career Day, the students took part in interviews, completed tests in various areas, participated in interactive activities and quizzes, attended interesting lectures and meet-ups with employees from different companies, and received the company’s merch. Interviews and tests were held in 43 areas, which were not limited to IT. Students could choose from data analysis, logistics, analytics, project management, and HR.

The Faculty of Applied Mathematics, Informatics, and Mechanics expresses its gratitude to all visitors of the event and expects more interested participants next year.
